I use Anatomy in Motion to give elite golfers a deeper and more precise understanding of how their body truly moves, allowing me to correct swing positions by addressing the root cause, rather than just the symptom.

My process starts by analysing a player’s resting posture, before progressing to their dynamic posture and how they move within that resting state—revealing how well they can adapt, load, and organise their body under movement demands. I then build on this by breaking down the human gait cycle in detail, to show how each phase of the cycle contributes to (or limits) a player’s ability to transfer force, rotate efficiently, and perform at a high level. By combining these layers of analysis, I can uncover compensations that directly influence swing mechanics and performance.

To achieve this, a highly sophisticated force plate provides valuable insight into how a player organises themselves in a static position, highlighting imbalances and inefficiencies that may be limiting performance before the swing even begins. Alongside this, I use OnForm as my coaching platform, enabling detailed video analysis and clear communication so players can see, understand, and retain changes more effectively over time.

Together, these tools create a complete picture—from how you stand, to how you move, to how you perform—allowing for highly targeted, personalised coaching at the highest level.

Anatomy in Motion founded by Gary Ward, is a comprehensive approach to understanding and restoring natural human movement, built around the idea that the body functions as an interconnected system rather than isolated parts. It focuses heavily on gait—how we walk—as a foundational pattern that influences all other movements, including sport-specific actions like the golf swing.

The system combines detailed joint-by-joint analysis, movement mapping, and practical corrective strategies to identify where motion is limited, excessive, or poorly timed.

By improving the body’s ability to adapt and distribute load effectively, Anatomy in Motion is used to reduce pain, enhance performance, and uncover the root causes of movement dysfunction rather than just treating symptoms.
